Nice to meet you. I’m a writer, journalist and sometime broadcaster from Toronto.
I was a reporter/writer/producer/editor for TVO and the National Post/Postmedia for about a dozen years altogether, and my freelance work has appeared in publications including Toronto Life, The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, Canadian Business, Maxim, Sharp, Chatelaine and The Guardian.
I’ve covered everything from apples to astrophysics. My book Drinks: A User’s Guide was published by Tarcher Perigee in September 2016 and I was the recurring drinks expert on CTV’s The Social for a few years.
But nowadays I’m largely retired from the drinks thing. In early 2022, I stepped back somewhat from my role as senior editor for Canada at the trend-setting, award-winning digital/content marketing agency Group SJR in order to focus on projects that align with my values and can do some good in the world.
I’m focusing on telling stories that have a deeper purpose, and show the way to a more equitable, progressive future. You too? Well then …
